Peter Blum

Peter Blum has had a practice in Ericksonian hypnosis since 1987, In 2004, he was awarded Instructor of the Year by the Nat’l Guild of Hypnosis, and in 2009 inducted into the Order of Braid - a lifetime achievement recognition. In 2015 he was awarded Hypnotist of the Year by IACT (The Int’l Assoc. of Counselors and Therapists). He has co-facilitated hypnosis and storytelling workshops with Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona (author of Coyote Medicine), and hypnosis and sound workshops with Creative Music Studio Founder Dr. Karl Hans Berger. A life-long musician, Peter has studied music and sound healing with Ustad Jamaluddin Bhartiya, Pauline Oliveros, Fabian Mamman, Dr. John Beaulieu and Don Conreaux. He has also been a student of transcultural shamanic practices for 3+ years, primarily with Native American elder Beautiful Painted Arrow (Joseph Rael). Peter has given concerts and workshops at The Omega Institute The Abode of the Message, Menla Retreat Center, and the United Nations, utilizing his extensive collection of Himalayan singing bowls and other instruments from around the world. His six CD’s in the “Sounds for Healing” series are perennial favorites as an adjunct to meditation, guided imagery, yoga, massage and hypnosis. He is the author of the recently published book, «Trance Sonics: The Vital Link Between Sound Healing and Hypnosis».
